Pose of the Month- Warrior I Pose

Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I) may seem like a simple pose but it has great benefits and is a building block for lots of other poses we use in class.  Some of the benefits of Warrior I are..

  • Stretches the chest and lungs, shoulders and neck, and belly
  • Strengthens the shoulders and arms, and the muscles of the back
  • Strengthens and stretches the thighs, calves, and ankles
