The pose for November is a balance pose. One probably everyone is familar with, Tree Pose. Though fairly basic this pose does a lot for you. Obviously it helps improve your balance, something we all need. But it also helps to strengthen your thighs, ankles, calves, and spine. Try to hold this pose for 30 seconds to a minute and then switch sides. If you’re feeling confident with regular tree pose you can make it more challenging by adding arm movements. Try extending your arms to each side and then making 2 big arm circles, then circle your arms again in the opposite direction.
My favorite student (my 3 year old daughter) demonstrating Tree pose. 🙂
